CarWise helps users analyze used vehicle listings and VIN data, compare vehicles, save Garage data and make better-informed buying decisions.

Information we process

Depending on how you use CarWise, we may process account identifiers from supported sign-in providers, vehicle listing URLs, VINs, saved vehicles, vehicle details, prices, mileage, dealer and listing information, purchase and entitlement records, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use data to provide vehicle analysis, maintain your CarWise account and Garage, verify purchases and entitlements, generate market-value and reliability insights, provide negotiation and inspection guidance, prevent abuse and improve service reliability.

Third-party services and data providers

CarWise may use service providers such as authentication, cloud hosting, app-store billing, vehicle listing, VIN decoding, recall and vehicle-history providers. Data shared with a provider is limited to what is needed to provide the relevant feature.

Data security

CarWise uses encrypted network connections for data transmitted between the app, our backend and supported service providers. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your CarWise account and associated data. Instructions are available on our Delete Account page.

Retention

Account-linked application data is deleted or de-identified following a valid deletion request, subject to limited retention where necessary for security, fraud prevention, transaction records, legal or tax obligations.
